Student-led research shows effectiveness of Michigan Medicine’s COVID-19 telephone triage hotline
In the early days of COVID-19, the only thing that seemed to spread faster than the illness itself was fear. For many, even mild symptoms were cause to seek immediate answers, if not treatment. Driven by that uncertainty, Michigan Medicine turned to telehealth, standing up a triage hotline for COVID-19 screening. The hotline, often staffed by U-M medical students, proved to be an effective way to help patients and contribute to the pandemic response. Click through for details!

The hallowed hall is the place where all who earn a medical degree here spend their very first, and very last, days as a medical student. For the 168 students who comprise the incoming Class of 2022, they got to see Hill for the first time on Sunday as they officially entered the medical school during the annual White Coat Ceremony.
