Plan ahead and expect delays: Stadium Blvd. project

Please be advised that the City of Ann Arbor is scheduled to start an extensive project to reconstruct Stadium Blvd. on Monday, Nov. 21. The project is expected to be completed by September 2017. Be sure to plan ahead and alert your patients to build in extra time if traveling in the area. Here's what you need to know:The area of reconstruction stretches from just west of Main St. to the east side of Kipke Dr. The Stadium Blvd./Main St. intersection will be closed for the entirety of the project and vehicles will have to detour around that area.Despite some current wording…

Seminar to focus on translating the cancer genome to the clinic

Come hear a UMHS expert discuss the translation of the cancer genome to clinical care. As part of the Cancer Center Grand Rounds Seminar Series, Scott A. Tomlins, M.D., Ph.D., will give a talk entitled "Translating the Cancer Genome to the Clinic." Tomlins works in the Departments of Pathology and Urology at UMHS. The seminar will begin at noon on Monday, Nov. 21 in the Ford Auditorium. Lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Ford Lobby.  All are invited to attend. Please be advised that a project is scheduled to begin next Monday along W. Medical Center Drive. The work is expected to take roughly two days to complete and will likely close one lane of traffic. Be sure to plan ahead and alert patients so they can build in extra time if traveling in the area. Here's what you need to know: Crews are scheduled to repair storm-water catch basins along W.
