Learn about using Lean methodologies in patient education

All health system clinicians and staff are invited to attend the next Patient Education ForUM. The event will feature presentations focused on designing health information technologies to fit the needs of marginalized groups and using Lean methodologies to redesign cardiac surgery patient education.The forum will take place on Wednesday Sept. 14, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rachel Upjohn Building Auditorium on the east medical campus. Get moving, get fit, and relieve stress this fall! Registration is now open for more than 100 MHealthy exercise and relaxation classes. Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, strength training, spinning, step aerobics and much more are available. Classes are open to U-M faculty, staff and the general public and run from Sept. 8 through Dec. 9. Be alert: Sewer project outside UH

Please be advised that a sewer evaluation project will take place Tuesday morning outside of University Hospital.The city of Ann Arbor will have a large inspection truck parked outside the main entrance to UH between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16. While no lanes are expected to be closed, the truck may delay traffic coming to and from the hospital.Please stay aware and careful during this high-traffic period and alert patients and visitors to build in extra time when traveling to the area. UMHS CoreImage devices are being upgraded to receive the newest Microsoft Office Suite of applications through a phased rollout between Sept. 6 and Sept. 16.
