UMHS has earned a bonus for the quality of care provided to patients with Medicare. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released data earlier this week showing which hospitals earned bonuses or had to pay a penalty due to performance in 26 quality measures. UMHS was one of only 1,600 hospitals nationwide to be rewarded with a bonus — a total that’s down by more than 200 from last year.
