8th Annual Shirley Verrett Award Ceremony

The University of Michigan Women of Color in the Academy Project (WOCAP) will present its 8th Annual Shirley Verrett Award on February 12 in the Stamps Auditorium. Distinguished Faculty Lectureship Award Ceremony Honoring Thomas W. Glover, Ph.D.

The prestigious Distinguished Faculty Lectureship Award in Biomedical Research will be held on Wednesday, December 12, honoring Thomas W. Glover, Ph.D., Professor of  Human Genetics, Professor of Pathology, and Professor of Pediatrics. Dr. Glover is being recognized for his fundamental discoveries in human genetics, including as the defining scientist of the field of human common fragile sites - a pervasive feature of human chromosomes that has become increasingly important to our understanding of critical molecular mechanisms and related human genomic disorders. Louise's leadership and commitment to our institution and focus on patient and family centered care is appreciated by the various individuals that she partnered with to advance nursing initiatives.
