RISE Announces Inaugural Fellows

Faculty, staff and learners from a variety of disciplines across Michigan Medicine comprise the inaugural class of fellows selected by the Research. Innovation. Scholarship. Education. (RISE) initiative.  RISE fellows receive a percentage of salary effort for 18 months and additional funding to develop and implement their innovative idea. Michigan Postdoctoral Pioneer Program Awardees 2019

The Michigan Postdoctoral Pioneer Program (MPPP), established by the Endowment for Basic Sciences, has announced the inaugural Pioneer Fellow recipients. Awardees represent a range of departments and units within the U-M Medical School. Four projects were selected from a pool of 27 applicants.  The awardees’ work reflects far-reaching potential in basic science research and beyond. Distinguished Achievement Award presented to Queen Bolden, R.M.A.

American Medical Technologists (AMT) is pleased to announce that Queen Bolden, R.M.A., will receive the Distinguished Achievement Award at its Annual Meeting in Chicago on July 2. Bolden is currently a medical assistant associate at Michigan Medicine. The Distinguished Achievement Award is in recognition of outstanding activity and service to AMT at the state level. Bolden was certified as an R.M.A. in 2008. She received her associate degree in physical therapy assistance from Lawson State Community College and then went on to attend the National Institute of Technology where she obtained her certificate as a medical assistant.
