Dr. Mahajan selected for Diagnostic Accuracy Committee

Congratulations to Prashant Mahajan, M.D., professor of emergency medicine and pediatrics, vice chair of the University of Michigan Department of Emergency Medicine and section chief of the U-M Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He has been selected to represent emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine on the Diagnostic Accuracy Committee at the National Quality Forum. His focus will be on diagnostic errors in emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine.

Dr. Huggins named judge for ALS Association Challenge

Congratulations to Jane Huggins, Ph.D., associate research scientist in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. She will serve as a judge for the ALS Association and Prize4Life's Assistive Technology Challenge. She will be judging prototypes during the final round of judging at the International Symposium of ALS/MND in Dublin, Ireland this week. Connie Cole, RD Retires from PFANS

Connie Cole, RD will be retiring in December after more than 30 years of dedicated service to Patient Food and Nutrition Services. A retirement party for Connie will be held on Friday, December 9th from 1:45-3:30 pm in the UH Food Auditorium Lobby. Remarks will begin at 2pm.

Kathi Standish Retirement

Anita Liberman-Lampear Retiring After 46 years

Anita has been in PM&R for 24 years and worked in Pathology for 18 years. Elaine \"Lainey\" Fioravanti, BSN, RN - Nursing Information Services Lainey has positively impacted many staff and leaders, serving the University in a variety of roles as staff nurse, nurse manager, educator, and nursing informatics consulting. She has been the unit liaison coordinator in NIS since 2005 where she supported administrators, nursing directors, managers, supervisors, RN schedulers, staff and administrative assistants with business processes through formal education programs for One-Staff, benchmarking programs, data analytics, quality assurance and engagement in hospital wide committees.
