Plan ahead and expect delays: Traffic detours around Ann Arbor

Please be advised of upcoming traffic detours around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. Here’s what you need to know:

• Anticipated to begin mid-May and last more than two months, Glen Avenue is scheduled to be closed between Ann and Huron streets for utility work associated with the New College of Pharmacy Building. Additional information regarding timing and detours will be shared in future traffic updates as the information becomes available. 

• Beginning May 22 and lasting through June, intermittent lane closures are anticipated to be in place on northbound and southbound Washtenaw Avenue between Geddes and Palmer Drive.
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained, though slight delays are expected.
  • Additional lane closures are likely throughout the summer on Observatory and Geddes. Information regarding those closures will be shared as it becomes available.
