Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. Here’s what you need to know:
- Beginning today, two lanes of Washtenaw Avenue between Zina Pitcher Place and Geddes Avenue are scheduled to be closed.
- One lane in each direction will remain open to traffic with all vehicles shifted to the west side of the road.
- During phase two of the project, the two lanes of travel will be shifted to the east side of the road. ?
- The project is anticipated to be completed by June 9.
- Beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, Southbound Glen Avenue is scheduled to be closed to vehicle traffic between East Huron Street and East Ann Street.
- Southbound vehicles will be detoured east on East Ann Street to Observatory Street, then south on Observatory Street to Washtenaw Avenue.
- Northbound Glen Avenue traffic will be detoured north on Zina Pitcher Place to Catherine Street, then west on Catherine Street to Glen Avenue.
- Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the east side of Glen Avenue through the closure area. Emergency vehicles are advised to take the posted detours.
- The project is expected to be completed by July 21.
