Please be advised of two different construction projects that are expected to cause road and lane closures around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Beginning today, two lanes of Washtenaw Avenue between Zina Pitcher Place and Geddes Avenue are scheduled to be closed.
    • One lane in each direction will remain open to traffic with all vehicles shifted to the west side of the road.
    • During phase two of the project, the two lanes of travel will be shifted to the east side of the road. ?
    • The project is anticipated to be completed by June 9.
  • Beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, Southbound Glen Avenue is scheduled to be closed to vehicle traffic between East Huron Street and East Ann Street.
    • Southbound vehicles will be detoured east on East Ann Street to Observatory Street, then south on Observatory Street to Washtenaw Avenue.
    • Northbound Glen Avenue traffic will be detoured north on Zina Pitcher Place to Catherine Street, then west on Catherine Street to Glen Avenue.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the east side of Glen Avenue through the closure area. Emergency vehicles are advised to take the posted detours.
    • The project is expected to be completed by July 21.
