The lead agency for hunger relief in the County, it supports a network of 170 community partners with free and low-cost food, deliveries and trainings.

Volunteering at Food Gatherers’ Ann Arbor headquarters on Carrot Way varies — but comprises of sorting produce and canned goods, repackaging bulk foods and keeping the warehouse clean and food-safe.

Warehouse help requires moderate lifting, but the most important requirement volunteering is that you are comfortable learning the different tasks required to keep the food moving safely and efficiently. Open only to the Michigan Medicine community.

Volunteers sign up for one of two shifts (9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m.); space is limited. YOU MUST REGISTER HERE TO ATTEND.
