Quality Month 2023 makes call for posters!
Every day at Michigan Medicine, faculty and staff are hard at work to continuously improve the quality and safety of care provided to patients. To celebrate improvement work around the organization, Quality Month — held every October at Michigan Medicine — is seeking submissions for the annual poster sessions.
Teams from all areas are encouraged to submit their work from now until July 7 using this Qualtrics link. Posters submitted before the deadline will be eligible for inclusion in the annual Quality Month Symposium and various poster sharing sessions.
Teams interested in submitting a poster can find a template and instructions here. Teams may submit posters in a format that is different from the Quality Month template. However, all posters must meet the following criteria:
- At least one completed Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA) cycle of improvement
- Measurable assessment of the outcomes of experiments
- Connections between improvement objectives and strategic priorities of Belonging, Access, Safety, Experience and Strategic Growth (BASE+S)
- A clear relationship between root cause and countermeasures
If you have never submitted to Quality Month before or have questions, you can request to meet with a continuous improvement specialist by clicking on the blue “how can we help” button at this link.
Physicians and PAs may also be eligible to receive Part IV MOC credit for posters. Please email partivmoc@med.umich.edu or see the website for more information. (Posters must be accepted to Quality Month to be considered for MOC credit.)
The Quality Month planning committee is still finalizing details for this year’s event, so stay tuned to Headlines for more information in the coming months.
We look forward to Quality Month 2023 and seeing the extraordinary quality improvement work taking place around the organization!
