Jerry Perrine has performed his music throughout Southeast Michigan for more than 40 years.

In addition to his piano playing, vocals and original compositions, he tells background stories of the classic American piano styles of ragtime, early jazz, blues and boogie-woogie. His program spans the decades between the 1890s and the 1930s.

Perrine is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, and through his many years of music, he has been certified as a Choctaw Artist. He has played at the Michigan Jazz Festival and the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, among others.

On Thursday, he will play at Michigan Medicine.
