Calling all artists: Submit your work for 2023 Virtual Art Fair

Spring is the perfect time to get inspired! The warmer weather, budding trees, bustling wildlife and flowering plants often give artists all the motivation they need to create new work to share with the world.

With that in mind, Michigan Medicine Headlines, in collaboration with Gifts of Art, is getting ready to publish its fourth annual Michigan Medicine Virtual Art Fair!

The online show will highlight the creative and inspirational work of talented employees and their family members.

That’s where we need some help – from you! 

What are your creative outlets? Do you paint, draw, create pottery or practice photography? Is metalworking or woodworking the way you wind down after work? Do you have an arts and crafts shed in your yard devoted to your hobbies? Heck, maybe you play an instrument, sing or write poems or short stories.

And don’t worry, the pieces you create don’t need to be inspired by spring! Anything that shows off your immense talents and imagination will be accepted.

Email photos of your existing artwork, recordings of your music, poems or short stories to headlines@med.umich.edu and you could be featured in an upcoming edition of Headlines!

Submissions are due Tuesday, May 2.

Please note, the Virtual Art Fair is before the Gifts of Art Annual Employee Art Exhibition, which will display team members’ work in the Gifts of Art Gallery, Taubman Health Center, South Lobby floor 1, from Sept. 5-Dec. 1.
