Faculty workshop: Design Your Life Lab

March 17, 2023  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

There has never been a more compelling need for new work-life design than now!

The pandemic has changed everything – the way we work, learn, celebrate, work out, care for families and play. And it’s tough to work virtually every day, all day. Employees at every level struggle with blurred boundaries, isolation and burnout. And many feel stuck, unable to progress in their jobs and careers, as everyone waits for things to go back to “normal.”

Lynn Wooten, Ph.D., believes the new normal will continue to evolve, and we must design ways to thrive and grow in this world of turbulent change. In this session, Wooten will dive deeper into the Design Your Life framework and allow time for you to work on your individual plan.

Workshop objectives

  • Identifying ways to apply design thinking to life planning (with an emphasis on career)
  • Describing the importance of aligning one’s work view (the reason one works) with one’s life view (areas that give life meaning)

Lynn Perry Wooten, Ph.D.
President, Simmons University
