The Michigan Biological Research Initiative on Sex Differences in Cardiovascular Disease (M-BRISC) program will host its second annual scientific symposium from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24.
M-BRISC is an innovative program that aims to increase investigation designed to understand the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease that differentially affect women and factors underlying the health of women.
The symposium will be held in the CVC’s Danto Auditorium and feature a keynote address by Virginia M. Miller, Ph.D., entitled “Sex Matters: Research Design to Maximize Impact.” Miller is professor emerita for surgery and physiology at the Mayo Clinic.
