A message from Michigan Medicine leaders

In the wake of the recent tragedy at Michigan State, the organization’s leaders sent out a note of compassion and empathy to all those affected, including many at Michigan Medicine. Spreading the love of reading in Mott and welcoming the newest valentines in Von Voigtlander

Tuesday was Valentine’s Day, and team members certainly got into the spirit at Mott and Von Voigtlander. Check out photos from the festive day, when patients within Mott received cards and teddy bears with special-edition t-shirts to celebrate the holiday, while those at Von Voigtlander were treated with cards, roses and a vase. 

Building a culture of recognition at Michigan Medicine

Since it launched in late 2020, more than 70,000 Making a Difference Awards and thousands of e-cards have been distributed through the Michigan Medicine Recognition Platform. These tools give employees the opportunity to recognize the work team members perform every day. Learn about the positive effects that use of the platform has had on areas across the organization! 

Introducing CARES, a group of Mott social workers who are addressing food insecurity

A group of pediatric social workers have been instrumental in easing hunger insecurity at Michigan Medicine for patients and their families. Now, the CARES committee has a stocked food pantry and organized two food pickups in recent months on the main medical campus.
