Description
You are invited to join us via Zoom on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from noon-1 p.m. for a discussion about Innovations in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Application in Education. Innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are transforming how we care for patients at the individual and system level, yet education and training around these approaches have not kept pace.
Virtual Talking Circles bring together thought leaders and innovators from Michigan Medicine for interactive discussions around topics in education innovation. The featured thought leader will be Dr. Cornelius A. James, assistant professor of internal medicine, pediatrics and learning health sciences in the University of Michigan Medical School. Additional insight will be shared by innovator Erkin Ötel?, M.D./Ph.D. student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at U-M Medical School. They advocate for AI to become a “fundamental toolset of medicine” in a recent piece (see below) and will share their perspectives on incorporating AI technologies into medical education. All from our community are welcome to attend.
