Plan ahead: East University Avenue road closure

Please be advised that East University Avenue between South University and Willard Street is scheduled to be closed later this week.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. 

Here’s what you need to know:

• Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, East University between South University and Willard is expected to be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions. 
• Eastbound South University is also scheduled to be closed.
• Northbound East University traffic will be detoured east on Hill Street and then north on Church Street to South University Avenue. 
• Southbound East University Avenue traffic will be detoured south on Tappan Street and then east on Hill Street to East University Avenue. 
• Eastbound South University Avenue traffic will be detoured south on Tappan Street and then east on Hill Street and then north on Church Street to South University Avenue. ?
• Local access to businesses and driveways will be maintained at all times. 
• Pedestrian traffic on the east side of East University Avenue will be detoured to the west side of East University Avenue
• The project is expected to be completed by Monday, Feb. 13.
