Please be advised of road closures around the Ann Arbor area.
Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Beginning today and lasting through early May, both lanes of Main Street between William and Liberty are scheduled to be closed. This includes the Main and Liberty intersection.
- During construction, traffic will be restricted to emergency vehicles, refuse pickup, and mail delivery on South Main St. Parking will be prohibited on South Main St. from William to Liberty.
- The following detours will be in place:
- Vehicles traveling northbound on South Main Street will be detoured east along East William to Division Street, then travel north to East Washington, then travel west back to South Main Street.
- Vehicles traveling southbound on South Main Street will be detoured east along East Washington to South Fifth Avenue, then travel south to East William, then travel west back to South Main Street,
- Vehicles traveling westbound on East Liberty Street will be detoured north along South Division to East Washington, then travel west to South Ashley, then south to West Liberty.
- Vehicles traveling eastbound on West Liberty will be detoured north along South Ashley to West Washington, then east to South Fifth Avenue to East Liberty.
- Expected to begin in early March, Bonisteel Boulevard will be closed to traffic in both directions.
- Only westbound local traffic for service and dock access will be maintained at NC55 and NC13.
- This work should last a few weeks.
- Anticipated to begin in late April and last about one month, Glen Avenue will be closed between Ann and Huron streets for utility work associated with the New College of Pharmacy Building. Additional information regarding timing and detours will be shared as dates are finalized.
