Faculty, staff ‘Go Red’ for women

February 10, 2023  //  FOUND IN: Our Employees,

On Friday, Feb. 3, scores of Michigan Medicine team members sported the color red to recognize women affected by cardiovascular disease and the dedicated providers who work daily to improve cardiovascular health.

The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement began in 2004 as an awareness campaign and transformed into an international initiative.

Armed with props galore, the Michigan Medicine communications team visited the Frankel Cardiovascular Center and Domino’s Farms, where faculty and staff showed their support with all shades of red.

Patients doing cardiac rehabilitation also joined in on the fun!

The dedication to preventing and treating cardiovascular disease is at the center of the organization’s mission of advancing health to serve Michigan and the world. And on Go Red Day, that mission shines even brighter.
