‘Everlasting Exuberance’ porcelain exhibit on display at University Hospital

Alexander M. Clinthorne is an Ann Arbor-born 3D artist. His work ranges from large-scale sculpture installed in nature, to whimsical and delicately hand-pinched porcelain sculpture and pottery. 

He has taught at Montana State University, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu Museum of Art, Ann Arbor Potter’s Guild and Washtenaw Community College. He currently teaches ceramics at Eastern Michigan University. 

As a creator and instructor, his design philosophy embraces values of unabashed ideation, intimacy with materials, and authentic engagement.
