The Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC), funded by the NIH/National Institute on Aging, is pleased to announce openings in its Early Career Investigator Mentorship Program in the MADRC Research Education Component (REC).

This program has two aims. One, providing early career investigators entering the field of dementia research with a broad education about contemporary dementia research. Two, providing early career investigators with mentoring by experienced investigators in developing competitive grant applications.

Early career investigators from underrepresented groups in STEM are encouraged to apply.

As we seek to understand and cure Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), the MADRC considers among its highest priorities to support the career development of junior investigators who are committed to dementia-related research.

Application deadline: Friday, March 31, 5 p.m.

Applicants will be notified by May 2023 if they were selected to participate in the REC mentorship program. The anticipated appointment will be for a two-year period, July 1, 2023-June 30, 2025.
