Description

Big data and education innovation go hand in hand. From informing educational practices to forecasting future needs for educator training, the next generation of health science professionals will need to work with data sets and learn from big data. You are invited to join us via Zoom on Monday, Jan. 30 at noon for a discussion about Big Data and its Applications.

Virtual Talking Circles bring together thought leaders from Michigan Medicine for interactive discussions around topics in education innovation. Featured thought leaders on this topic include Dr. Brian George, associate professor of surgery and associate program director in the Department Learning Health Sciences, and Dr. Andrew Krumm, assistant professor in the Department of Health Sciences and a former RISE innovator. They will share their perspectives on applying big data in health and healthcare. We’ll discuss how innovations will apply big data to stimulate performance improvement and mitigate bias in healthcare and science. All are welcome to attend!

Please check out this Minute with Marschall guest blog from Executive Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Medical School Debra Weinstein, M.D., where she highlights work from Dr. George and RISE.
