You’re invited: Advisory Committee for the Advancement of LGBTQ+ Health at Michigan Medicine quarterly meeting

The Advisory Committee for the Advancement of LGBTQ+ Health at Michigan Medicine (ACALHM) aims to create enduring and affirming spaces to promote the health and well-being of patients, families, learners, staff, faculty and visitors of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions at Michigan Medicine. In pursuit of this aim, the role of ACALHM is to:

  • Gather key information about the structures, policies, barriers and facilitators to promoting LGBTQ+ health at Michigan Medicine
  • Provide input and make recommendations to help guide institutional efforts at Michigan Medicine.
  • Advocate for, or lead change with, partners within Michigan Medicine and the community at large.

This meeting will include a presentation on Michigan Medicine’s DEI 2.0, a discussion of possible events for Pride month in June 2023, informal networking, and the work of ACALHM’s working groups, including Supporting Faculty, Staff, and Learners; Training and Curriculum; and Gender Identity.

Meetings generally occur quarterly on the second Friday of the month from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The next meeting will be March 10, 2023.
