Preparing The Pavilion construction site for winter

The Pavilion at U-M Health construction team is currently preparing the site so crews can continue working through the cold winter months. Tarps are being placed on the exterior of the structure and temporary industrial natural gas heaters are being put in place.
While the heaters may appear to glow behind the tarps like flames, this is a typical winter construction condition and not a safety concern. The heaters will run during the day and at night to keep temperatures above freezing so the concrete and other construction materials can properly cure.
Real-time images of The Pavilion construction site can be found on the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) web cam.
