Faculty workshop: Retirement readiness reception

December 9, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Whether you are near retirement, considering it in the future or are simply curious about what retirement could look like for you as a faculty member, planning for your retirement is important at every stage of your career.

Join Brian Zink, M.D., senior associate dean for faculty and faculty development, to enjoy refreshments and heavy hors d’oeuvres, network with your colleagues and envision what your future could look like as emeritus faculty.

There will be a panel of guest speakers, including, Roger Baldwin, Ph.D., from Michigan State University. He will be discussing taking the “stigma” out of retirement. Baldwin has published many journal articles on development for both mid- and senior-career faculty.

The U-M Benefits Office as well as a team from Fidelity and TIAA will also be present to answer any questions about your U-M retirement plan and can be available for one-on-one discussions on site.

Date: Tuesday, April 11

Time: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Location: BSRB Seminar Rooms, first floor
