Plan ahead: Road closures across Ann Arbor

Please be advised of upcoming road closures around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. Here’s what you need to know:

  • From today through 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, Dhu Varren Road at Carrot Way is scheduled to be closed for utility work.
    • Westbound Dhu Varren Road traffic will be detoured south on Nixon Road to Plymouth Road, then west to Barton Drive, then north to Pontiac Trail back to Dhu Varren.
    • Eastbound Dhu Varren traffic will be detoured south on Pontiac Trail to Barton Drive, east to Plymouth Road, then north on Nixon Road back to Dhu Varren.
    • Local traffic will have access to roads intersecting Dhu Varren Road and residential driveways at all times. 
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the north side of Dhu Varren Road.  
  • On Thursday, Nov. 24, the following streets are expected to be closed for the Turkey Trot special event:
    • Liberty from Division to Main
    • Main from Liberty to Keech
    • Keech from Main to Greene
    • Greene from Keech to Davis
    • Davis from Greene to Brown
    • Brown from Davis to Hill
    • Hill from Brown to Division
    • Division from Hill to Hoover
    • Hoover from Main to Mary
    • Mary and Sybil Streets from Hoover to Benjamin
    • Benjamin from Mary to Sybil
  • From Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday Nov. 24, 2023, the southern parking lane and a portion of the eastbound traffic lane of East Washington Street between South Division Street and South State Street is scheduled for closure.
    • Westbound and eastbound traffic will be shifted into the northern parking lane and westbound lane of East Washington Street.
    • Access for local businesses and all drive approaches will be maintained at all times. 
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the north side of East Washington Street.
