Charles Reuland, M.H.S., Sc.D., named chief operations integration officer for U-M Health

Over the past several months, the organization has conducted a comprehensive search for a chief operations integration officer as part of the creation of the U-M Health enterprise triad leadership model. 

This position will be assumed by Charles (Charlie) Reuland, M.H.S., Sc.D., on Jan. 23, 2023. 

In this role, Reuland will oversee all U-M Health operational activities in partnership with the segment chief operating officers for adult hospitals, women and children’s, ambulatory care and pharmacy.

Reuland is currently the executive vice president and chief operating officer at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He provides leadership for the executive team relating to all hospital operations, and advances the ongoing program development and integration within the hospital and beyond.

Reuland returns to Michigan after having received his undergraduate degree from U-M.
