The Department of Anesthesiology is proud to announce the inaugural Susan Moore, M.D., Memorial Lecture, which will focus on health disparities.

Moore was a graduate of the U-M Medical School who died Dec. 20, 2020 due to complications of COVID-19. Prior to her death, she posted a video on social media that described inequitable and biased treatment, which gained national attention and stimulated discussion of disparities in health care institutions.

Natasha Bagdasarian, M.D., chief medical executive for the State of Michigan, will be the inaugural speaker. The title of her talk is “Recognizing and Addressing Health Inequities: Building Upon the Lessons Learned During COVID-19.”

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in room M3330 of Med Sci Building I and will also be livestreamed. Click here for more information and to register.
