Plan ahead and expect delays: Road closures around Ann Arbor

Please be advised of upcoming road closures and traffic disruptions around Ann Arbor. 

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. 

Here’s what you need to know: 

  • Until 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 14, Liberty Street between Fifth Avenue and Division is scheduled to be closed for the Ann Arbor SPARK Tech Trek and Mobility Row special event.
  • From Monday, Oct. 17 until Friday, Oct. 21, both directions of St. Francis Road between East Stadium Boulevard and Medford Road are scheduled to be closed.
    • Southbound St. Francis Drive traffic will be detoured south onto Brockman Boulevard then east on Winchell Drive and back to St. Francis Drive. 
    • An alternative southbound detour will divert southbound St. Francis Drive traffic east on East Stadium Boulevard then south on Manchester Road then west on Medford Road back to St. Francis Drive.
    • Northbound St. Francis Drive traffic will be detoured west on Winchell Drive then north onto Brockman Boulevard then east on East Stadium Boulevard back to St. Francis Drive. 
    • An alternative northbound detour will divert northbound St. Francis Drive traffic east on Medford Drive then north on Manchester Drive then west on Washtenaw Avenue then west on East Stadium Boulevard back to St. Francis Drive. 
    • Local access to businesses and driveways will be maintained at all times. 
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the west side of St. Francis Drive.  
  • From 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17 and 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, the southbound lane of South Maple Road within the intersection with Pauline Boulevard is anticipated to be closed.
    • Southbound South Maple Road traffic will be shifted into the left turn lane through the work zone.
