Week in Review: Meet your Michigan Medicine MVPs; organization to hold career and hiring fair — and more!

Fall is officially here and the temperatures have dropped. Naturally, Headlines had plenty of cool stories to keep you busy this week.

For instance, faculty and staff nominated the MVPs who stand out in their area of the organization; U-M Health announced details of a career fair and on-the-spot hiring event to be held at Michigan Stadium; Mott shared its most recent honor (this time for pain prevention and treatment); and readers got to know Devin Lippert, the administrative director for the Office of Patient Experience.

Over the past two weeks, more than 80 members of the organization were nominated as MVPs by their peers. Whether in patient care, education, research or shared services, it’s clear that many of you go above and beyond to help Michigan Medicine advance health to serve Michigan and the world. Help shape the future of health care at upcoming career and hiring fair

As with most industries, the organization is facing critical staffing shortages in key areas. To help alleviate that stress, the Department of Human Resources will hold an informational career fair and an on-the-spot hiring event on Oct. 1 to welcome new employees to our team. Mott certified as a national leader in pediatric pain prevention and treatment

Over the past few years, a workgroup in Mott put together an application for an accreditation of excellence from ChildKind, an orgainzation dedicated to improving the quality of pediatric pain care across the world. Recently, Mott received the recognition, becoming the first hospital in the state to be a ChildKind-certified facility. Click through for more on the recent honor! 

Improving the ‘human experience’ at Michigan Medicine

A little over a year ago, Devin Lippert joined the organization as the administrative director for the Office of Patient Experience.
