Stars continue to shine: Name the MVPs and standouts in your area!

Approximately a 2-minute read
Key takeaways:
- This past weekend, Michigan football used a balanced effort in a season-opening win.
- In much the same way, balanced efforts help Michigan Medicine find success — with the help of a few standouts.
- Nominate those standouts in your area for a Michigan Medicine MVP Award by visiting the Recognition website.
This past weekend, Michigan kicked off its 2022 football season with an emphatic 51-7 win over Colorado State.
The Wolverines — coming off a Big Ten championship in 2021 — again appear to be a well-rounded team, getting contributions from players at every position and in every situation.
That’s how Michigan Medicine finds its success too. No matter your role, whether it’s in clinical care, research, education or shared services, you go above and beyond to help the organization advance health to serve Michigan and the world.
But even on the most balanced teams, certain players stand out from the crowd — so Headlines wants to know who those standouts are in your area.
Who shows themselves to be incredible team players and puts the needs of colleagues, patients and families at the forefront of their efforts?
It could be the coworker who takes the lead on a new project and pushes it across the finish line. Or the researcher who takes a novel approach to an existing challenge, giving new hope for treatments and other advancements.
Or maybe it’s a collaborative effort that earned outside recognition, such as a data visualization project carried out by the Michigan Center for Interprofessional Education (IPE) and U-M Information & Technology Services (ITS).
No matter who you want to give kudos to, the process to do so is as easy as ever!
All you have to do is log in to the Michigan Medicine Recognition website and select “Recognize” in the top right corner. Then choose your colleague(s), select “MVP Award” and describe why they earned the distinction. That’s it!
Remember, both individual and team nominations are accepted.
Stay tuned to Headlines as some of the nominations will be shared in a future edition of the employee newsletter.
Thanks for all you do at Michigan Medicine — and Go Blue!
