Plan ahead and expect delays: Road closures and other projects around Ann Arbor

Please be advised of road closures and other infrastructure projects that are expected to cause traffic changes around Ann Arbor.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Beginning today and lasting until Friday, Sept. 30, the city’s Infrastructure Improvement Project is scheduled to impact the following areas:
    • East side of Fourth Avenue and Huron Street: Sidewalk and lane closures
    • East side of Division Street from Huron Street to Washington Street: Bike lane and sidewalk closures
    • East Liberty Street and South Fifth Avenue: Road crossing on the east side of Fifth Avenue, sidewalk closure and meter bagging.
    • Alley closure between Ashley Street and Main Street, and Liberty Street and William Street
    • Alley closure between Main Street and South Fourth Avenue, and East William Street and East Liberty Street
  • From today until Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, a lane closure is scheduled to be in effect on West Madison Street between South Ashley Street and South Main Street.
    • Eastbound West Madison traffic will be shifted into the left turn lane at the Main Street intersection.
    • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the north side of West Madison Street.
