Plan ahead and expect delays: Road work around Ann Arbor

Please be advised of road work that is scheduled to take place around Ann Arbor in the coming days.

Plan ahead and expect delays and alert patients if they will be traveling in the area. Here’s what you need to know:

• From today until 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, there is scheduled to be a lane shift along Green Road between Frederick Drive and Greenbrier Boulevard.
  • Vehicle and bicycle traffic traveling northbound on Green Road will be shifted into the turning lane, while southbound traffic will remain in the southbound lane.
  • Later in the project, northbound traffic will shift back to the northbound lane and southbound traffic will utilize the turning lane.
• From now until 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, Hill Street is expected to be closed between Greene and South Fifth Avenue.
  • Eastbound traffic on Hill Street will be detoured north on South Main Street, east on East Madison, south on South Fifth and back to Hill Street.
  • Westbound traffic on Hill Street will be detoured north on South Division, west on East Madison, south on South Main Street and back to Hill Street.
  • Local access will be maintained and pedestrian traffic will follow South Main Street, East Madison and South Division around the closure.
• From now until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, there will likely be a single-lane closures along South Main Street from East Madison Street to Jefferson Street.
  • Northbound South Main Street traffic will be shifted to the western northbound lane.
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the west side of South Main Street.
• From now until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, South Main Street from East William to Packard is scheduled to be closed.
  • Northbound traffic will be detoured east on Packard Street, north on South Division Street, west on East Huron Street back to South Main Street.
  • Southbound traffic will be detoured east on East Huron Street, south on South Fifth Avenue, west on Packard Street back to South Main Street.
  • Pedestrians will be detoured to the west side of South Main Street.
• From noon on Wednesday, Aug. 3 until 1 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, South Main Street between William and Liberty is expected to be closed for the NTI Block Party special event.
• From 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8 until 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, there is expected to be a lane closure along eastbound East Jefferson Street from Thompson to Maynard.
  • Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on Thompson Street, east on East William Street, south on Maynard Street back to East Jefferson.
  • Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the north side of East Jefferson.
