On display: Acrylic on wood art exhibit at University Hospital

A flock of color and vibrancy erupts from Ed Irmen’s work. He dives into motifs reminiscent of abstractions of late 20^th century artists.

Irmen focuses on flora and fauna with respect to contemporary ideals and applications. Like his vision, they are ever-changing.

Residing and practicing in Southwest Detroit, Irmen’s work can be found as murals across the city and throughout the Midwest. And now, it can also be found at Michigan Medicine.
