Be wary of tech support scams!

Tech support is a must in today’s digital world. No matter how tech-savvy you may be, there will always be a point where you need help in figuring something out — especially when you think your system or data has been compromised!

Despite this, be highly suspicious of any tech support entities contacting you unprompted. You should always be the one to initiate contact with your IT support staff.

Often, a tech support scam will begin with you being contacted by email, browser pop-ups — or even a direct phone call. Usually, these notifications indicate something catastrophic has occurred on your device!

Of course, these pseudo-warnings are helpful in offering “technical support” options for you to access.

Be wary!
