GME Innovations Grants Program makes new call for proposals

The GME Innovations Grants Program is excited to announce a new round of funding for proposals.

The team is asking that proposals for this funding cycle link to the ongoing ACGME self-study initiative with a specific focus on institutionally-identified goals to:

  • Leverage U-M’s unique position as a preeminent public institution situated near communities of diverse individuals to foster and develop pipelines into health professions to create diversity in providers reflective of the communities we serve.
  • Curate, create and centralize resident and fellow learner specific content in critical areas such as leadership development, educator skills, wellness and in understanding practice models in the contemporary environment of economics in health care resources for GME programs.
  • Develop process improvement mechanisms for GME training programs, capitalizing on available IT support and identification of best practices in the community.

Funding is available for grants less than $50,000 (Tier 1), $50,001-$100,000 (Tier 2), and greater than $100,001 (Tier 3). Applications accepted from all GME faculty, GME administration and staff and Michigan Medicine staff with a connection and/or interested in GME education. House officers are welcome to submit proposals with support from their program.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 with results communicated by Dec. 1.
