Six units earn hand hygiene compliance honors for June

Congratulations to the following units, which earned the organization’s top scores for hand hygiene compliance in June: 4B, 8B, CVC 5, CVC PACU, PFANS and portable imaging.
These teams will be added to the Infection Prevention & Epidemiology Hand Hygiene Compliance Honor Roll, along with: 5B, 8E, 6C, CVICU, PT/OT, CICU, 8C, 11W, MSSU Maize, 4A, Brandon NICU, 8A, 6B, 7B, 4C, 12W, 7E, 5A, 12E, respiratory care, 5C, 7C, PICU, CCMU and 7A.
Don’t forget, excellent hand hygiene is one of the best ways to protect yourself and patients from infections. Please encourage each other to wash hands and use “Clean-Remind-Thank”:
- Clean in and clean out of patient care areas
- Remind someone if they forget
- Say “thanks” if someone reminds you
