Workshop: Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE)

June 17, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

This workshop is open to faculty and staff.

The U-M Medical School STRIDE Committee provides information and advice about practices that will maximize the likelihood that diverse, well-qualified candidates for faculty, fellowship and residency positions will be identified, and, if selected for offers, recruited to U-M.

The committee leads workshops for faculty and administrators involved in selection, recruitment and hiring. Much of the information is also relevant to retention and promotion of these individuals as well.

STRIDE training:

  • Has involved dozens of senior faculty members from across campus
  • Has a decade of reading the research and thinking about its application to faculty searches
  • Provides Michigan-specific best practices and successful approaches to effective searching

Join the Office of Faculty Development for this workshop that will assist those who wish to recruit and subsequently hire diverse, well-qualified candidates for faculty, fellowship and residency positions.
