Gifts of Art presents free jazz concert by Ellen Rowe Trio

In this performance, the Ellen Rowe Trio celebrates McCoy Tyner, a cornerstone of John Coltrane’s groundbreaking 1960s quartet and one of the most influential pianists in jazz history.
Ellen Rowe, jazz pianist and composer, is currently the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation at U-M. Paul Keller (bass) leads several successful and busy jazz ensembles including his big band, the Paul Keller Orchestra. Jazz percussionist Pete Siers is an intensely physical yet dynamically sensitive drummer who leads Los Gatos, a Latin jazz group, among others.
This free concert will be streamed on the Michigan Medicine YouTube channel and LinkedIn page.
