Faculty workshop: Claim the Stage! How to be seen and heard as a woman of power
Have you ever shrugged off your accomplishments or had a colleague claim your accomplishments as their own? Have you backed off when interrupted or when loudly confronted in a critical meeting? Hesitated to ask for a well-deserved promotion or been denied one time and again?
If you’re nodding your head to any of those questions, you’re not alone; too many remarkable women hold themselves back from stepping up and speaking up when it matters, or they’re held back by frustrating, external factors outside of their control. The result is the same: the big ideas, perspective and wisdom that only they can contribute is lost to the world, and their leadership impact is diminished.
This training is based on the research behind, and the content within, presence and presentation skills expert Eleni Kelakos’ book Claim the Stage! A Woman’s Guide to Speaking Up, Standing Out and Taking Leadership.
While designed to support the development of women in leadership positions, this program is open to people of all genders who are committed to supporting women who want to lead and communicate with greater impact and influence.
It’s interactive, thought-provoking and loaded with practical tools and techniques to help participants use their words, their voice and their body language to let others know they mean business.
