2022 Disability Research Symposium makes call for abstracts

June 16, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

The Center for Disability Health and Wellness will host the third annual Disability Research Symposium on Friday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Center for Disability Health and Wellness at U-M developed this event to showcase the talented individuals conducting research on disability-related issues from across U-M schools and departments. Equally important, the team hopes to facilitate networking and discussion on how the research either is being used or can be used to facilitate solutions related to health, functioning, participation and quality of life for those living with disabilities.

During the symposium, presenters will have 10 minutes to provide a TEDx-style talk or research-style presentation focusing on either an overall vision of their research or results of a specific study or project.

The review committee will group selected presentations based on identified themes. Breakout groups will be used to facilitate discussion on the importance of the research and how it can be applied in clinical and community settings to enhance outcomes.

U-M students, trainees, staff and faculty are invited to submit presentation abstracts by no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8th.

Submit an abstract today.

Event attendance will be open to all interested individuals at U-M and elsewhere. Register by clicking here.
