The last week of April was a busy one at Headlines! The newsletter celebrated Patient Experience Week by highlighting the work of faculty and staff, and marked Donate Life Month by featuring the U-M Health Transplant Center.

Join us: Michigan Medicine Youth Summit at the Big House open to children of employees and learners
The inaugural Michigan Medicine Youth Summit at the Big House is scheduled for May 21 and is designed to expose youth from underrepresented minorities to jobs and careers in health care. Registration is now open and you’re asked to help out by inviting your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and others to this unique event. Check out the details here.
New video highlights safety strategies for health care workers
Workplace violence is an issue in a number of industries — but especially so in health care, where violent incidents have been on the rise. In response, The U-M Division of Public Safety and Security teamed up with Adult Emergency Services to create a video demonstrating body positioning and safety strategies for health care workers.
