Gifts of Art presents free soulful jazz concert

April 13, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

On bandstands around the world, international jazz legend and tenor saxophonist Houston Person is the embodiment of the power yielded by strong melodies with a heavy dose of soul. He springs from the lineage of tenor saxophone titans such as Illinois Jacquet, whom he names as a key influence on his early listening and playing.

For an upcoming free performance, he’ll be backed by regional jazz masters Pat Cronley (piano), Paul Keller (bass) and David Taylor (drums).

The concert will be streamed on Michigan Medicine YouTube channel and LinkedIn page.
