Celebrating our radiologic and imaging nurses!

April 14, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Our Employees

Earlier this week, the Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing recognized Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day.

Nurses in this specialty work with patients of all ages, levels of care and are an important part of the interdisciplinary team at Michigan Medicine. These nurses also set an excellent example of advocating for safe patient- and family-centered care.

Diagnostic prep and recovery nursing leadership are Clinical Nursing Director Donna Reicha and Clinical Nursing Supervisor Dyan Smith.

Currently on staff, the diagnostic prep and recovery team has 80 registered nurses, covering all three hospitals, six off-site locations and two specialty clinics in three different counties!

Interventional radiology nursing leadership are Clinical Nursing Director Norma Merritt and Clinical Nursing Supervisor Deb Popilek.

Currently on staff, the interventional radiology nursing team has 41 registered nurses and three patient care tech associates covering all three hospitals.

Radiology also has five nurse practitioners working in specialty clinics to manage care of new and returning patients.

Please help to celebrate our nursing partners in radiology this week!
