Workshop: Workplace Civility and Fostering a Culture of Respectful Dialogue – the COVID-19 Conversations
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a lasting impact on all facets of life and placed particular strain on those who work in health care. Conversations surrounding COVID-19 have become uniquely politicized and polarized even within our hospital workplace. This workshop will create a space to process the feelings generated by the pandemic, clarify the vaccine mandates within our community, and help attendees develop strategies to approach difficult conversations regarding COVID-19.
Workshop Objectives
- Clarification of the COVID-19 vaccine mandates and examining distrust of the mandates
- Shifting attitudes from frustration to curiosity: discussing strategies for fostering civility and respectful dialogue
- Acknowledging the toll the pandemic has taken on our personal and work lives, including workplace frustration and compassion fatigue
Date: Tuesday, Apr. 19
Time: 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Zoom
