Description
This workshop is open to faculty and staff.
It is becoming increasingly more common to hear medical professionals use the term “Health Equity” when referring to the well-being of their patients. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation defines health equity as, “ensuring that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible.” Although this definition sounds simplistic, the multiple factors that contribute to one’s health make its application complex. This workshop will discuss, “What is Health Equity and why should we care?”
