This week, the calendar gave Headlines plenty of reasons to celebrate valuable Michigan Medicine team members!
For instance, Tuesday was International Women’s Day — and some of the organization’s most impactful leaders reflected on their leadership styles, their role models and what advice they have for the next generation of leaders. The following day was RDN Day, a chance to recognize registered dietitian nutritionists at Michigan Medicine.
Also this week, Headlines featured teams who have adapted to hybrid work amid the pandemic and three medical students shared how they improved mental health care for their peers.

Across Michigan Medicine, leaders bring a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds to their roles — enriching the organization and providing mentorship to others who aim to climb the career ladder. Five of those leaders sat down with Headlines this week to provide valuable insight to others at Michigan Medicine. Check out what they had to say.
Celebrating registered dietitian nutritionists’ integral role at Michigan Medicine
Across the organization — in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings — approximately 100 registered dietitian nutritionists ensure individuals get the nutrition support they need no matter their diagnosis. In honor of RDN Day, Headlines met with a number of RDNs who described their daily work and what they love most about their jobs.
Evolving our workspace for 2022 and beyond
In response to the pandemic, the organization has created a unique blend of remote, hybrid and on-site workplace environments, driven by a need to become more flexible and relevant for individual work groups.
