Vital Voices Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey launches today

March 14, 2022  //  FOUND IN: Our Employees, ,

The 2022 Vital Voices Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey officially launched this morning to all eligible Michigan Medicine faculty, staff, and learners, including house officers. The survey will remain active until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 28.

“As an organization we have experienced significant change over the past year, both in our workforce and in how we operate as a health system,” said Deloris Hunt, M.S.A., chief human resources officer at Michigan Medicine. “The engagement survey is a great opportunity for all of our employees to provide insight into how their priorities have shifted and how they look to us to support them as an employer.”

There are two separate surveys — one for faculty and one for staff — that will run simultaneously. Both surveys include questions related to Michigan Medicine’s safety culture, as well as questions measuring the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts.

“This is the first engagement survey since I joined Michigan Medicine and I look forward to getting direct feedback from our faculty,” said Debra Weinstein, M.D., executive vice dean for academic affairs and chief academic officer for Michigan Medicine. “I hope that every faculty member will take a few moments to provide open, honest feedback — with comments! — that we can use to make improvements and better meet your needs.”

The survey should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and can be done on a desktop/laptop or mobile phone. All responses are kept confidential through Press Ganey, a third-party vendor who is administering the survey, and individual responses are not made accessible to anyone at Michigan Medicine.

How to participate

All eligible employees hired on or before Jan. 12, 2022 should have received an email from Michigan Medicine Engagement Survey earlier today inviting them to take the appropriate version of the survey, based on their role within the organization. If you do not see the email in your Outlook inbox, be sure to check the “Other” tab as it may have been delivered there.
