From UH/CVC to Adult Hospitals

On Tuesday, executive leaders of the adult hospitals and inpatient services segment previously known as UH/CVC (University Hospital and Frankel Cardiovascular Center) announced a new name for the segment: Adult Hospitals.

The internal name change reflects the growth and evolution, to date, of the hospitals and services providing care to the adult inpatient population. It also reflects the continued expansion of the segment with the planned opening of The Pavilion at U-M Health in the fall of 2025.

Together, University Hospital, Frankel Cardiovascular Center and The Pavilion at U-M Health will provide increased access to care for complex and high acuity patients, and further the organization’s mission to advance health to serve Michigan and the world.

Segment leaders, Chief Operating Officer Linda Larin, FACHE, M.B.A., Chief Nursing Officer Cathy Kendrick, M.S., R.N., CNML, NE-BC, and Chief Clinical Officer Hitinder Gurm, M.D., shared news of the change in a series of announcements, including a Short Takes video, released on Tuesday.
